‘SOW much FUN’ ACTIVITY (WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY)
World Environment Day Celebration by the Lower Primary Students.
“Every seed sown today is a step towards a greener tomorrow.”
World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of Std 1 and 2 on 03.06.26. To promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices, the students participated in a fun and meaningful seed-sowing activity.
The children brought coconut shells from home and transformed them into eco-friendly planters. They carefully sowed seeds of various varieties, including methi (fenugreek), coriander and ragi. Through this hands-on activity, the students learned about the importance of plants, gardening, and environmental care.
The activity not only sparked curiosity and excitement among the young learners but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards nature. The students eagerly look forward to nurturing their plants and watching them grow.
It was a joyful and enriching experience that highlighted the message of World Environment Day – protecting and preserving our planet for a greener future.
