Annual Day Celebration: A Glorious Tribute to Emperor Krishnadevaraya
Little Flower Public School witnessed a spectacular celebration of its Annual Day- Raajaadhiraaja, on 22 December 2024, bringing an air of festivity and cultural pride as students from grades 9 and 10 took the stage to present a mesmerizing program themed around one of the most iconic rulers in Indian history, Emperor Krishnadevaraya. The event commenced in the NIMHANS CONVENTIONAL HALL, elegantly adorned to reflect the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as parents, teachers, and students filled the seats, eagerly anticipating the evening’s performances. The program opened with a captivating dance rendition depicting the rich cultural heritage of the Vijayanagara Empire, characterised by its architectural marvels and flourishing arts. The students, adorned in vibrant traditional attire, showcased various classical dance forms, which illustrated the grace and beauty of the era.
As the evening progressed, the audience was treated to a skit that narrated the life and achievements of Krishnadevaraya. From his patronage of literature and arts to his military conquests and administrative reforms, the play beautifully captured the essence of this legendary ruler. The students brought the historical figures to life, weaving humor and drama into their performance, which left the audience both entertained and enlightened.
The cultural extravaganza also featured a traditional music segment, where students played classical instruments, creating a melodic backdrop that further immersed everyone in the grandeur of the Vijayanagara period. The harmonious blend of music and dance praised the emperor’s vision for a culturally rich and united kingdom.
In a heartfelt speech, the Principal Dr. Mrs. B. Gayethri Devi expressed pride in the students’ hard work and dedication.
The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks from the High school Team Leader Mr. Mallikarjuna B.N, who acknowledged the efforts of the teachers, staff, and parents in making the event a success.
